The Holiday Calendar tab provides the system with the institutions observed bank holidays. This is used in calculating the Provisional Credit due day, the Deadline Date, the Next Due Date and the Reminder date calculations in order to determine the proper number of business days or calendar days.
The holiday entries can be downloaded from the Silverlake system. Towards the end of the year, when new cases may reach into the next year, it may be necessary to manually enter the first few holidays of the new year. A warning message will be displayed in the Add Case if calculations are performed without a calendar present for the year being calculated.
NOTE***
If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday and the actual holiday is observed on the following Monday, you will need to manually add that Monday as an Observed Holiday! This will allow the system to calculate the dated items correctly.
