The Report Generator section of IRR-Solutions® II provides a flexible and powerful ad-hoc report generator.

Available data

The generator has access to actual data from history to all projections as well as budget data. Data can be retrieved for Month-to-date or Year-to-date, average or ending balance. Projected data is available for all scenarios. The range of data covers the complete chart of accounts. Data ranges can be shared across multiple reports for re-use.

Available calculations

The generator supports simple mathematical functions such as add, subtract, multiply and divide. Unlimited levels of calculations can be nested within each other. Calculations are available across multiple reports for re-use.

Calculations can also be performed from cells within the report grid. This reduces the number of calculations required.

User Defined

All Generator reports are based upon two standard templates, a 9 Column Portrait report and a 13 Column Landscape report which can be renamed and stored in a custom report folder. The two layouts simply define the maximum number of information columns available to be displayed by the report.

Crystal Reports 10 is required to modify templates beyond the capabilities of the Report Generator.  Graphs can also be added to any report via Crystal Reports.

To prepare a new report, considerable planning is required. We highly recommend that you lay out the report in a sketch on paper. If possible, construct all the necessary calculations in a spreadsheet program so you have a clear view of the required calculations.
