The Documents tab of the case provides for a way to attach any type of electronic information to a case.
The Import from File button will take any type of electronic document (PDF, Image, Word, Excel, etc.) and import it as an item into the database. Once a document has been added to the database, it can be deleted in its source location since a copy of the information now exists in the RegE database.
The Import from Clipboard will take the Windows Clipboard contents and import it into the database as well.
The View button will display the document with its native application (i.e. Launch MS Word to display a Word document).
The Export (Orig) button will re-create the document from the information contained in the database, in the same format as the original
The Delete button will remove the document from the case and database.
The Export (TIFF) will re-create the document into a TIFF file format
In order to generate a proper file name and file type, the Export functionality of the Case Documents area was improved.
The program will now automatically append the original file type extension name and set the "Save as type" based upon the original document's properties
