Institution vs. Branch Operation |

IRR-Solutions® II is capable of operating at branch level or consolidated institution level. All information displayed, as well as available reports, will depend upon the initial entry selection into IRR-Solutions® II.
Institution only operation
If your institution doesn't operate branches, or you are not interested in reviewing results at a branch level, the software can be setup to operate in Institution mode only. This avoids the processing time inherent in branch operation. This mode is indicated by the branch listing grid being disabled along with the Select Branch button.
In this mode, all information is treated as belonging to a single entity. All reporting is performed at a consolidated level.
Institution / Branch operationIf your software is configured to support branch operation, the branches can be displayed in the Advanced Income Shock's Growth, Reinvestment, and Prepayment tabs by checking the Show Branches or By Branches boxes. You can also display the branches in Advanced EVE's Discount, and prepayment tabs. Branch assumptions can be set through these branch tabs in each module.
Assumption Application It is important to understand the basic concepts of assumption application. The following rules apply:
1. Assumptions set at the Institution, applied to the Branch level This concept makes it simple and efficient to use the software in institution mode, but review results and perform reporting at a branch level. Discount, Reinvestment and Prepayment assumptions apply across all branches. Growth assumptions are proportionally applied to the branches based upon the current balance volume distribution among the individual branches.
2. Branch level assumptions override Institution level assumptions This rule provides the flexibility to assign specific assumptions at the individual branch level to conform to market conditions. By using a combination of Rule 1 and Rule 2, assumptions can first be assigned at the institution level and will apply to all branches. By then revising specific assumptions at the branch level, Rule 2 allows to then adjust only specific assumptions to the individual branches market condition.
Revised assumption icons In order to indicate at the branch level the additional flow of assumptions from the institution level, additional icons have been created.
