Certain situation may arise where the structure of either assigning a fixed branch and account, or the customers branch and account, does not configure a proper transactions as needed.
Example: A disputed ATM transactions should be assigned to the branch where the ATM is located.
Creating a transaction and associated event for each branch would be impractical. A mechanism similar to the -1 for the customer information was created to allow the user to edit part of the transactions when it is being used.
To configure a transaction to use a user defined branch at the time of the event use, specify -99 as the branch number in the setup of the transactions. The same functionality can also apply to the account number of the transactions, specifying -99 will require the user to enter the account number at the time the transaction event is used.
Under normal transaction configuration, the transaction parameters are all shown in blue, indicating the field is read-only and cannot be edited. However, if the transactions was configured with a -99 as the parameter, the appropriate field (either Branch and/or Account) are now editable by the user.
***** Note *****
A transaction configured with user defined branch or account fields cannot be used in a Multi-Dispute event.
